We serve clients beginning at 18 months of age. Families with children younger than 18 months are encouraged to call us for resources and connections or referral to community support, and we welcome them to our parent groups.
Adults of any age are welcome, so long as they have a primary concern and primary diagnosis of a developmental disability or disability acquired in childhood rather than adult-onset conditions. Clients with both developmental disabilities and adult-onset concerns as the focus of care would benefit from another clinic; we are happy to coordinate with other agencies whenever possible.

Adults or children who should be referred to other community or medical organizations for more appropriate care:
Those whose physiological or medical needs warrant constant access to equipment (vitals monitoring, specialized wound dressings, etc.) or specialized services (nursing, respiratory therapy, etc.) that are not available at our clinic.
Those whose behavior poses a significant safety risk to themselves, staff members, or other clients participating in our programs are subject to a review by a team including at least the treating provider(s), a member of the administrative staff or board, and an uninvolved member of the clinical staff. The team can be assembled before acceptance into any of our clinical programs or at any time during treatment.
Adults, especially geriatric clients, who acquired the need for rehabilitation services in adulthood (e.g., CVAs, oncological care, degenerative diseases, etc.).
Note: Clients who may not meet these criteria the first time we receive a referral will NOT be excluded from future services if there is a change in status and another referral is made.

Our Statement of Philosophy
An independent therapy center is a unique organization in a community, bringing together the human, physical, and financial resources to focus on the clients. Specifically, Comprehensive Therapy Center represents such a unique organization combining community leadership, administrative expertise, professional excellence, employee competence, and physical resources, giving it the potential and responsibility to act for the improved health of children and adults.
Interdisciplinary programming is a key element of the Comprehensive Therapy Center. By having the ability to provide a team approach to clients, CTC has the ability to meet the specific and specialized needs of its clients. The staff works within the community as a client advocate as well as a provider of service. Through close cooperation of agencies, the aim is to provide quality service to clients.
