As 2024 comes to a close, we are filled with gratitude for the incredible impact you’ve made through your support of Comprehensive Therapy Center. Because of you, this year has been nothing short of remarkable.
Here are just a few highlights from 2024 that you helped make possible:
2nd Annual Legacy Dinner
On Friday, February 1st, CTC carried the torch of our Legacy Campaign with our second annual Legacy Dinner at the L.V. Eberhard Center! This event celebrated Legacy Award honorees Chris Kaiser and Lori Pitts, and Volunteer Award honoree Emma Erlenbeck. They were recognized for their commitment to CTC’s mission: helping children to walk, talk, learn, and play. As a part of our Legacy Campaign, we came together to show our community how the past and present of our legacy will inspire our future, and the dedicated individuals who have made this growth possible.

Therapeutic Play & Learn Groups
Our playgroup team excited brought weeks of therapy and learning activities! Therapeutic Play & Learn Groups support families of children ages 0-5 with developmental differences. This program is made possible because of the generosity of Kent County taxpayers and the voter-approved Ready by Five Early Childhood Millage.

19th Annual Read To Me Tea
Read To Me Tea is a celebration for our clients, but more importantly, it was a place for families and caregivers to connect with legislators and community leaders in an environment they may not have access to normally.
Throughout the first part of the year, our clients both in the clinic and in schools create artwork that is then displayed during the event. Artists are then able to share their art with their families and other attendees.

10th Annual Mitten Foundation Fundraiser
We had an incredibly successful fundraiser at the Mitten! The house was PACKED from open until close, and at the end there was a line out the door waiting to be seated! Crash from the White Caps showed up, two separate news stations produced segments on us, and most of all, we had FUN!. Together with our games, silent auction, personal donations and Mitten Brewing Co. sales, we raised over $7,600!

Therapy & Fun/Therapy & Life Skills: Dino Roar 2024
Our summer programs were a huge success! With over 60 kids served, more than 35 volunteers and over 65 hours of therapeutic fun, we ROARED and SMASHED our way through Dino Roar 2024!

Honoring our volunteers and staff:
We could not serve our community well without our amazing volunteers and staff! We are so grateful for our partnerships with companies like MSUFCU, Steelcase Foundation, Independent Bank, LMCU and more! We are also indebted to our incredible and capable staff members, who serve our clients with passion and integrity, every day.

To Our Friends and Supporters:
At CTC, we serve people with a variety of conditions like Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism, ADHD, and Speech/Language Delays, to name a few.
We help adults maintain or increase their independence. We help children walk, talk, learn, and play.
On any given day, we’re:
-Providing special education in local schools.
-Hosting playgroups at libraries, playgrounds, and community centers for teen moms and immigrant communities.
-Supporting the sensory and emotional needs of children in foster care and residential treatment facilities.
-Lending AAC devices and supporting individuals through complex insurance processes.
-Celebrating a CAN DO attitude: Celebrating All Neurodiversity. Demolishing Obstacles.
Our services include Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Counseling (including Dance Movement Therapy), Teacher Consulting, and School Psychology. We are a non-judgmental and neurodiversity-affirming alternative to the large medical systems and for-profit therapy centers that dominate this city.
What makes us truly unique is our commitment to inclusion, where the people we serve become volunteers, board members, and employees.
The truth is, none of this would have been possible without you. Your belief in our mission drives everything we do, and we are so thankful to have you as part of our community.
As we prepare for another impactful year ahead, know that your generosity has already planted seeds of hope and growth for 2025. Together, we are changing lives, one step at a time.
From all of us at Comprehensive Therapy Center, thank you for an incredible 2024. We look forward to partnering with you to create even more success stories in the year to come.
Wishing you a joyous holiday season and a bright New Year!
With gratitude,
Savana Beal
