Testimonials

“Our child has been attending Therapy and Fun for multiple years now and has an overall goal to become a volunteer for T&F. He struggles, as all kids do, with significant summer learning loss, and the fact he has a learning disability, makes it even more important to keep these skills honed. Now, after a few consistent years under his belt, our kid not only reads when asked but he enjoys it!”

I heard about CTC through other parents who have done it in the past. We are all really helpful in the disability community and work together. I am just fortunate to know the friends I have made and that we found this program. My ten year-old came in on the orientation day and she told me, “mom, I really want to do this!” She is excited to help another kid in the next year and to be able to volunteer for the summer!

“Lilya really likes to see everyone that works for Therapy & Fun, she really likes the art that she gets to do and shows me when she gets home. One of her favorite activities is the obstacle course, and has been talking about it a lot at home this year! I think her buddy last week was Max (volunteer), and she has been asking about and talking about him a lot. She even asked this morning, “am I going to see Max today?” It is always good when she actually talks about them and uses his name, it is a really big deal.

“This program has done what no other special education program has been able to accomplish in the 3+ years our child has been with [their school]. Their speech has improved 10-fold and I believe they have met the goals the school system set for the entire 2007-2008 school year during your summer program. This is quite an accomplishment for them and credit goes to the staff and volunteers at CTC. A great big Thanks to all of you!”
