therapeutic play groupsOnline Play and Learn Groups

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, our playgroups are shifting to a virtual model. We are offering 5 weeks of online video sessions, consisting of a series of videos you can play at home, and live Q + As with therapists via Zoom.

Videos are uploaded on Wednesdays at 6pm and available throughout summer. Q + A’s will be hosted Wednesdays, every other week, from 10-11am and from 6-7pm via Zoom; check our social media, email notifications, and this page for links.

This program was made possible because of the generosity of Kent County taxpayers and the voter-approved Ready by Five Early Childhood Millage.

Each group is a series of 5 weekly sessions of 90 minutes. Every meeting includes a group activity and child-directed playtime. CTC provides four activity stations:

  • dance/movement therapy
  • gross & fine motor skill development
  • sensory integration activities
  • speech-language therapy

The stations are supervised by our program director and led by therapists.

Allergy-friendly snacks are provided. Everyone goes home with books and handouts to support learning at home.

The theme of each weekly playgroup are the Kent County Success Basics: Love, Talk, Count, Play, Read.
