Daniel Blauw has been practicing disability law since 1988, specializing in estate planning, guardianships and public benefits. His practice focuses primarily on special needs planning and working with, and advocating for, people with disabilities. At this workshop, he’ll be teaching caregivers everything they need to know about the “Big Three” disability topics:
1. Special Needs Trusts
2. Guardianships for Disabled Adults
3. How to maximize public benefits and blend them with private resources
The Therapy & Fun Caregiver Workshops are free seminars where parents and caretakers receive education and resources that empower them to support their child’s growth at home. Topics covered that these workshops include at-home therapeutic techniques, special education policies, mental health for parents, financial planning and more. These topics are presented by our staff and experts in the field who want to help families and caregivers cultivate a successful and confident plan to care for themselves and their loved ones.
Caregiver workshops are free and open to the public, regardless of if you’re participating in the Therapy & Fun summer program.
