Last Thursday we had the pleasure of hosting one more Read To Me Tea for our eight students at the Benton Harbor Charter School.
As with our larger event, we had punch, cookies, and lots of free books to give away to both the children and their parents and siblings. We celebrated the children’s artwork from our coloring contest this spring and we had a special guest to read stories to the young artists.
Craig Blasko, Special Education Supervisor from Berrien Regional Education Service Agency, entertained with a reading of If You Give A Moose A Muffin.
We at CTC believe that just because special education students aren’t the ones winning sports or academic awards, doesn’t mean they don’t deserve praise and a chance to shine. This is why we hold our coloring contest every year and award prizes to the winners at our annual Read To Me Tea.
Congrats to all our winners this year and we hope to see your entries again next year!
