This year Comprehensive Therapy Center wants to help make Giving Tuesday as big as Cyber Monday and Black Friday.
We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now, we have Giving Tuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. Tomorrow, Tuesday, December 2, 2014, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.
You and your family can participate in so many different ways. Here’s a video to give you ideas, but let us give you one more: think about giving to CTC to help us make Therapy and Fun 2015 the best one yet.
With every donation we receive, CTC can provide more assistance to children in need of therapy services. What we do isn’t inexpensive, but thanks to supporters like you, we are able to keep our fees affordable for our clients (most of whom are low-income families).
Here is an idea of some of our operational costs — of both equipment we use and services we provide — so you can see what your money will go towards:
$10 ~ a box of construction paper
$25 ~ 5 new fine motor apps to use in therapy
$30 ~ a summer’s supply of finger paint
$50 ~ a crate of books to give to children and families
$75 ~ 25 test protocols for ADD/ADHD evaluations
$100 ~ roll of yoga mats for pediatric occupational therapy
$115 ~ one in-office therapy session
$200 ~ CPR training for our teen volunteers
$250 ~ one day of programming for Therapy and Fun for one child
$500 ~ a new audiometer for hearing tests
